Wordless Wednesday

It's been a while since I've drawn anything, but I got the itch over the weekend, so I drew this picture of my goat, Tibbett.

What hobbies do you have that have taken a backseat to life?

  1. Excellent Anne! Besides writing, my hobby is reading. I had really put that on the back burner. I am finding a way to get it back in.

    1. I hear ya', Kenya. I used to be an avid reader and now I rarely do. Just not enough time in the day. Sigh...

  2. Oh, I love it! Hobbies are so important, and making time is so hard when pulled in fifty different directions, but keep it up...then you and Gayle can illustrate my book:-)

    1. Yeah, it's too bad you aren't artistic yourself. It's a real shame.
      ARE YOU CRAZY, LADY?!

  4. Great job on the goat drawing, Anne. Besides writing, I love to draw, too. I wish I had time to get out charcoal pencils and really go at it, but right now I stick to quick chalkboard scribbles (which you probably saw when you visited my blog) as it's all I have time for at the moment. I also miss scrapbooking, cake decorating, card-making, home decorating, etc...the list goes on and on!

    1. Thanks so much, Christie! I saw your chalk drawings, didn't realize you did them. They're great! I love charcoals and pastels, too, but haven't used them in forever. I've got a long list of things I love to do, too, but rarely have time to get to any of them.
      How long till retirement?

  5. You are quite talanted...love the charcoal of you adorable goat!! I love to do all things, and other than decorating, I am a master at none. Seems like I always have a do it yourself project going on of somekind.
Hope you have a great Hump Day!! :)

  6. Oh, I love your goat -- not just your drawing but also the name! Hobbies that have taken a backseat? Mine are reading and backpacking. I used to be a voracious reader, but my mind can't bear any more input most days by bedtime, and it kind of makes me sad. Backpacking is pretty hard to do with a 4-year-old who can barely make it from the kitchen to the bathroom without getting distracted and diverted 47 times, but I'm sure we'll get to the point where we can all go as a family. :)

  7. Your goat looks very friendly. I have a set of oil pastels, still in the box after 10 years that I have been desperate to use. I know though, that it will be one more hobby to get addicted to and there is just no room at the moment. Working full time is a serious impediment to my craft life .. :-)
